Meet the Newquists - a family in a typical American city where riots, muggings and sniper attacks are a way of life. It turns out, though, that violence is great for daughter Patsy's love life! A feisty interior designer, she begins dating a passive photographer, after she rescues him from muggers. Convinced that they are a match made in heaven, the young couple struggles to survive in a crazy city where anything goes.
