Hudson Hawk (Bruce Willis) is a former catburglar with a reputation for style and finesse, just released from prison. Two evil supervillains (Richard Grant and Sandra Bernhardt) instigate a plot to control the world's gold using an alchemical device invented and hidden by Leonardo DaVinci. To get the codex, they force Hawk's best friend Tommy Five-tone (Danny Aiello) to gain Hawk's catburglary services. When word gets out, a gang a wacky super-secret agents headed by George Kaplan (James Coburn) and a beautiful nun/Vatican agent (Andie MacDowell) vie for Hawk's favor. Hawk finds himself on a scavenger hunt full of madcap adventures and surprise twists as he and Tommy Five-tone seek the treasure.
