"The Terminator" is a science fiction movie involving a conflict between man and machine. The film has three main stars, Arnold Schwarzenegger as the terminator, Michael Biehn as Kyle Reese, and Linda Hamilton who plays Sarah Connor. The story opens when two beings are transported back in time to 1984: a terminator and a human, Reese, who is sent to stop the terminator. The terminator's goal is to kill Sarah Connor, who will be the mother to a yet-unborn son, John. In the future, John Connor leads the human race in the war against machines, so the terminators (and machines of the future) decide the best way to stop John Connor is to kill his mother before he is born. Kyle saves Sarah's life from the terminator and gains her trust. As the movie progresses, Kyle and Sarah continue to fight the terminator in a battle for the survival of the human race.
