World War II era sailor, David Herdeg (Michael Pare) is taking part in an anti-radar experiment on board a US Navy Destroyer. The experiment starts to go wrong and David takes actions to prevent the deaths of all on board. Suddenly, David is thrown 40 years into the future and the ship mysteriously disappears. Now lost in 1984, David gets help from Allison Hayes (Nancy Allen) to try to figure out what happened and how to get home. Meanwhile, the scientists in 1984 have discovered that their current experiments are colliding in time with the Navy’s experiment. It is up to David to save the day before all of time unravels.
